77077 FAQ

As I am getting far too many e-mails about these questions to be able to answer properly, I am going to add this FAQ page rather than ignore your enquiries! Thanks for mailing me, I am sorry I don't have time to reply to everyone individually right now -

1. Where can I buy Fire Bomber and Macross 7 CD's?

Well, the answer is the same place you would buy ANY anime CD's in your country. I'm afraid that unlike some people expect me to, I don't know in detail the best places to get hold of anime music in every country in the world!! If you are looking to buy any anime merchandise on the web, there are loads of places you can try, most of which are covered by the Anime Web Turpike at:
Anime Web Turnpike's Shopping Guides List

Here's a few links I know of:
Anime Box
Anime Nation
Joys Japananimation
Otaku World

I have got no idea how good any of them will be though, I currently get all of my anime CD's within the UK from either -
Otaku
or
Sheffield Space Centre
Whom I both recommend, especially if you are in the UK.

2. Where can I get Macross 7 to watch?

Unfortunately the only real answer is "I don't know"... unless you give me more details!
Macross 7 and its spin-off series are only available on VC (video cassette) and LD (laser disc) in Japan. Macross 7 TV has been re-released in 1999 as an LD box-set "Box Fire!!" so it should be no problem to get hold of the originals if you go through one of the stores you can find in the links in question #1 above.
There may be VCD and DVD releases as well, but I don't use those formats myself so I know little about them. I think any VCD's of Macross 7 available are "unofficial" (ie: pirate!).

If you are after English fan-subtitles, then look for subbers who distribute Macross 7. There are a number of them, but I only know fansubbers in the UK myself (which are all private), so I cannot give any advice on any of the American fansubbers!
My Scripts and Translations links will be a good starting place, as again would AniPike's page: -
Anime Web Turnpike : Fan Subtitlers

If you are in the UK and wanting fan-subs, e-mail me and I will see what I can do. But I cannot promise anything, especially not a fast response!

3. Where can I get Fire Bomber guitar tabs?

Take a look at: Mr. T and Basara's Guitar Tabs It has a few Fire Bomber tabs. And then also look through all my new Links under "Lyrics and Music" as I will add other pages with tabs there.

As for expecting me to do any.. well, Ok, first of all let me point out I do not read music and sadly I cannot play the guitar. Yep, you are free to call me "Gamlin" from now on if you should wish! So I actually do not understand myself what different kinds of sheet music are.
What I DO know though is that the sheet music to many Fire Bomber songs is included with the Kare-OK Fire!! CD, and with the Fire Bomber Roman Album.
See the shopping links above for where to buy stuff again.

As for putting such music on the web... well, the best I have been able to try was scanning in the sheet music from Kare-OK Fire!!, however I could not scan it in a high enough quality to be useful to anyone I'm afraid, so I have had to shelve that idea. :(

4. Where can I get Fire Bomber MP3's/ Why don't you put them on 77077?

See my other links pages for where to get hold of MP3's. I personally do not want to put any MP3's onto my pages for various reasons, so sorry, you'll probably never find any MP3's on my site.
