Spacer Macross 7 Lyrics : Notes

Notes and Disclaimers:

PLEASE READ:

A note must be made of the various kinds of translations and romanisations.

The song text files contain various versions of the Fire Bomber Songs. Here I will describe some you might be confused by:

Sing-a-long Romanisation.
The lyrics to the song romanised (English text characters), and then modified slightly to make them easier to read and sing for an English speaker. Some may not like my changes, but you can of course you can ignore or modify them yourself if you wish! Some people prefer to change the romanised lyrics EVEN more to sing them, although some may prefer the pure romanisations.
Recommended for singing along to!

English Translations
Often I have multiple translations of the same song. Often one of more of them may be incomplete. All the lines are written after the romanised Japanese lines.
I recommend you delete or change the translated lyrics to pick your favorite translations.

FURTHER NOTES AND DISCLAIMERS:

  • Many of the translations on this site have been provided very kindly by Koji Kiyokawa and he has written this Disclaimer:

"Translation is a difficult process when lyrics are concerned. The Japanese language frequently ignores the subject of a sentence. In such cases context clues were used. In the below tracks, direct translation and ordinary translation were deemed to be unsuitable. I have interpreted the lyrics in my own way."

  • Please don't complain about my sing-a-long-ised versions. Romanisation is intended to convey the sound anyway!

Many of the songs have nothing listed for the lyrics/composition etc. I am trying to get more information on these. If you have any, and would like to help this site, please mail me! I'd be very happy to hear from anyone!

  • Pronunciation:
Romanisations are not always read exactly as they would sound if you read it, although the sing a long versions are a lot closer to "sing as it reads" , they are still not precisely like this. In writing them have assumed you know a little about reading romanised Japanese text. For example the word "anime" itself, you pronounce the "e" on the end as "ay". This is true whenever you get an "e" on the end, another example would be "Ore" = "oar-ray"

  • COPYRIGHT NOTE:
These lyrics are all copyright to Victor Music. Translations are copyright to their respective writers. No infringement is intended, if there is any wish for these lyrics to be removed, please e-mail me and they will be removed as soon as possible.

This site is intended to promote Anime and Japanese music, not to hurt any sales of CD's. I hope to increase English speakers's enjoyment of these songs.

Permission will be granted to re-produce anything done by Rik Newman or Koji Kiyokawa, as long as we have been notified and as long as credit is given. Other writers should be contacted individually, either directly or through Rik Newman.
