This is a one-off (single book) manga, and I suggest if you like Dynamite 7, you'll definately want to get hold of this!

I haven't actually got a copy yet, so I'll leave it up to my man Graham Parkes to tell you what he thinks of it (SPOILER warning if you haven't seen any of Dynamite 7 yet):

"This book is well worth buying. I'm not a big fan of manga, mainly because I can't read Japanese. I must admit, I was even pretty disappointed by the 'Macross 7 Trash' manga, mainly as none of the main Macross 7 characters put in more than a cameo apperance, and also cus there's almost no mecha action. However, 'Mylene Beat' changes all that, with all the regular Mac 7 characters present and a fair bit of mecha action thrown in as well. Hentai fans of Mylene will also appreciate this manga, as there are multiple drawings of Mylene in underware, Mylene in a bikini, Mylene naked etc. 'Mylene Beat', takes place shortly before the start of the events in episode one of the OVA 'Macross Dynamite Seven' and continues through to about episode two (or possibly episode 4) of 'Macross Dynamite Seven'. Many of the events that are shown in the first two episodes of the OVA also take place in the manga. For example, the attempted lesbian rape of Mylene and Gamlin flying off in his VF-22S to search for Basara also take place in the manga. However, some new twists are added and events don't always occur exactly the same as in the anime. I'm not going to give away too much of the story (what I can figure out anyway), but Mylene ends up singing in concert with the female members of the Jamming Birds and also ends up battling a huge Space Dragon! Highly recommended for all Macross 7 or Mylene fans. Much better than the boring 'Macross 7 Trash' manga!"
