Arcade Game A Macross Plus arcade game was released in Japan. Although, I have never personally seen or played on the machine, reviews suggest that it is an average game. As screen shots show, it is a top down 2D shoot'em'up and it supposedly quite a difficult game. It's real problems seem to stem from the fact that the game doesn't fit with the series at all. From screenshots you can see that it doesn't convey the dark feel of the series and the music doesn't live up to it's expectations either.

Playstation Game Hot on the trail of the recent success of the Macross Playstation game VFX-2, it has been announced that a Macross Plus Playstation game is now in production. Not much is known about the game at this time, and it certainly will be interesting too see if the game succefully mangages to capture the mood and feel of the series. Considering how much of an improvement VFX-2 was over VFX, with a bit of luck this game will be another step in the right dirction. As soon as I know more I'll post whatever information I can here. Unfortunately, since the US release of VFX-2 was cancelled, it seems unlikely that an English language version will reach the US or UK. Of course if the game is very succesful in Japan, it may still be possible. Stranger things have happened...
